Why contribute to IMSF?

The IMSF supports physician initiatives that promote professionalism and leadership, including sponsorship of IMS CANDOR conferences and workshops, and support of Provider Burnout and Professional Resiliency conferences and educational sessions. For the IMSF, development of medical students at Des Moines University's Osteopathic College of Medicine, and the University of Iowa's Carver College of Medicine is of utmost importance, and remains our #1 priority for our 2024 Month of Giving.

In the last 10 years alone, the IMSF has been able to send over 110 medical students to 25+ countries to gain invaluable medical training and on-site experiences.

“The best part of this trip was getting to be in a beautiful place, camping, and providing a unique form of clinical care –low-resource medicine.”

– (2019) Lisa Bell,
Himachal Pradesh, India

"What we experienced was physicians doing the best they can with their limited resources. I saw first-hand the importance of putting patients first."

– (2023) Jeffrey Goddard,
South Africa
